The CampNet solution is unique in that it is based on a next generation wireless technology. This design is extremely beneficial in any camp environment. The benefit of this design is with AP's spread through the camp, the controller is the one and only device that ever needs to be accessed for management. The AP's are essentially centrally located devices which are dynamically controlled and managed from a single controller appliance. The controller will automate the process of signal power and channel selection based on its knowledge of all the AP's it is responsible for managing. This takes the guesswork out of trying to determine what is the best power level and frequency to use for each and every AP. The controller does this work automatically.
We take the approach that camps are designed and operated more like hotels, offering wireless access in guest rooms and throughout common areas. Guests are completely unaware of other guests on the network and everyone is given their fair share of bandwidth. If required, a camp management network is available for the camp operator and completely segregated from the guests' browsing.
